For A Mission Photography is named as such because a portion of the profit from my photography goes towards different global and local missional efforts. I charge $300 per session, and you will receive all the photos I edit at no additional cost (usually you will receive roughly 200 edited pictures). For birth shoots, I charge $500 if I am shooting labor and delivery, $300 if I come after baby is born!
What is the mission?
The mission is given by Jesus in Matthew 28, that we would “go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matt. 28:18).” The mission is all about Jesus and his rescue plan for the world! Therefore, not only do the funds help support the mission, but my hope is that even the photography itself would be a vehicle for loving people the way Jesus has loved me.
Who receives 50% of the funds from FAM Photography?
The Andre Family. These wonderful friends of ours live in Nairobi, Kenya working with African Inland Mission (AIM). Their On Field Media team document what AIM is doing to reach unreached people groups with the Gospel all over Africa.
The Jons Family. Another lovely family we are close with, whose work is amazing, but unfortunately we can’t share online about their ventures. But trust me, it’s awesome.
Burundi. After living in Burundi for years, needs frequently come to our attention through our intimate friendships who are involved in a variety of NGO’s. Burundi is one of the world’s poorest countries, yet there is much being done to strengthen the country spiritually, environmentally and politically. We love to be able to give our support when we are able to those making a difference in this country we love.
This photography site is closely linked to Unfinished and Unpolished: Following Jesus Through the Rough Drafts. A sister site to this one, this is where I write more in-depth about our experiences globally, tell stories, and share what God is teaching me.
