In 2014, we spent the summer in Europe! I can’t wait to go back there now that I have a camera that can capture the unique scenes of these countries!

After living in Burundi for two years, we moved back to the US to finish our education. Last year we flew back to visit for about a month. It was so good to be back in our second home! We intend to move back to Burundi once we are finished with school in London, which is super exciting for many reasons. One reason in particular is that even this last visit to Burundi I didn’t take my camera due to political reasons, therefore my photos were done only on my phone! Can’t wait to be back there with my good camera and capture more of the beauty of this lovely country!
Our second year of living in Burundi, East Africa. Again, I didn’t have a great camera – just my phone. So even though they aren’t the best quality, and I truly cannot wait to return with the camera I have now, the moments captured I still think are beautiful!
My husband and I, along with Haylee and Jacque, moved to Burundi in 2012. We lived there two years working with different Christian NGO’s. While living there, I just had my iPhone camera, so this was long before any sort of professional photography days, but even still, I enjoy the moments captured this first year of our time there.
*The above photo I can only take partial credit for. I was walking in a village with Cindy Scammell and she had her camera on her. I saw this scene and pointed it out to her to snap a shot of, and she did a great job!
*This was our home in the capital city of Bujumbura
*These kiddos are making toys out of trash.
* This photo is a memorial to the genocide in Burundi. It is the remainder of a gas station where a bunch of school children were burnt alive by the opposing tribe.
Last summer, we hiked into Blossom Lake, Montana with a couple great friends – Levi and Sarah. It was by far one of the most beautiful places I have ever been!
In 2016, Ladd and I traveled down to Salt Lake City, Utah to spend Thanksgiving with my dad, stepmom, brother and grandparents. I couldn’t help but share some of the pictures of them, especially of my grandparents! Aren’t they just beautiful people? I can hear their stories just looking at their photos.
